The KLR650 is known to be comfortable, grunty, quiet and reliable. It is almost everything you want in a bike. ‘Almost’ wasn’t good enough for us, so we took to the drawing board as we created a Sports Race Muffler that would turn this quiet and reliable bike into an exciting adventure bike that can be thoroughly enjoyed in any environment.

As a rider of a KLR650, you’ll notice that the standard bike could be described as a heavy and slow motorcycle. When designing the Sports Muffler for the KLR we focused on reducing weight and increasing power. Our design resulted in a 6 horsepower gain over standard with a more responsive throttle. The on road test of the KLR650 fit with a Staintune Round Sports Race Muffler opened up considerably through the mid range. The Staintune system cleans up the jetting across the rev range, allowing the engine to breathe to its potential. The design of the sports muffler uses a 50mm stainless steel straight core to improve bottom torque and make the bike less restrictive.

Overall, as a rider you will experience much nicer rideability with a deep exhaust note. Truly turning your quiet and reliable bike into something you want to show off to your mates.
