This is the best performing and highest quality headlight we currently offer. For most will eliminate the need for bulky venerable expensive additional spot lights. The low beam pattern is bright, very uniform, and features a proper upper cut-off (Right Hand Drive, ie Australia, Japan, UK). The high beam is amazingly bright eliminating the need for auxiliary lighting. The materials, construction, and aesthetics are all top notch. You won’t be disappointed.

From the moment you pick it up, you can see and feel that this light is well built! Super easy install, you probably don’t need to cut away as much plastic from your light cowl as is shown on the instructions for install, but also the extra removed plastic may help with airflow and cooling?
Adjusting the angle of the light is easy, but not easy to get the level precise as you may like it.
The unit is 467g heavier than the factory headlight, so may not be suitable for weight weenies, but I’m guessing 467g is less than it would be if you added additional lights, which are definitely not going to be required if you have this headlight.

I bought this to replace the standard headlight with LED globe.
I do most of my riding in outback Australia, NT, Qld, WA, SA. There are times when I’m covering hundreds of kilometres into the night to get to where I’m going. To me, safety is worth paying a lot of money for. Being able to better see the kangaroos, cattle, and washouts. I’ve hit a roo once at speed and feel very lucky to have stayed upright.
High beam on this light is very bright, with reflective signs visible a couple of kilometres or more down the road. I had no trouble maintaining 110/120kph at night while avoiding roadside roos and the cattle who seem to delight in standing in the middle of the road, even minutes after a road train has already passed!?! (WTF)
Low beam is comparatively quite dull when you come off high beam, to the point you wonder whether the lights are even on! Once the eyes become accustomed to it though, visibility is reasonable for around 80kph. The beam lattern shoots a bit higher up the left hand side of the road which is great. My only gripe is the bright white beam that tends to glare a lot in dust and fog. I prefer a more yellow light, and might try an amber lens cover.
Overall, it’s better than an LED globe upgrade.
Is it better than spot lights? I don’t know. It’s easier to fit than spot lights.
As for the price, you’re paying for design/engineering. There are cheaper options out there, but they’re not going to give you a tailored light output, and may not be safe for oncoming road users.
What price do you put on safety?
