Eibach DRZ400 Fork Springs

$219.95

DRZ400 00′ to current

Suzuki DRZ400 Fork Springs by Eibach.

Top of the line Eibach fork springs to dial in your front suspension to suit your weight.

The DRZ400 uses a large diameter 49mm Showa Cartridge fork, these springs will fit all DRZ400 models with these conventional forks (not for SM)

Note – Spring rates are a guide only and people should do their own research. Some like fast single track with little amount of gear ( yep that’s me ) while others may carry a large load for an outback crossing. Some may prefer a firmer setting while others still like a small amount of plushness. One thing is for sure these bikes were designed around their original light weight Japanese test riders twenty plus years ago and the bike built for enduro racing ( I rode a DRZ to Third in the Expert Vets Class in the Queensland Enduro Championship back in the day, at 65kg I used the standard springs ) using a small tank, narrow seat and carrying no gear. On the pegs and on the gas !! Now at 70kg with a DRZ set up in adventure spec mode I now need to go up one size in the rear spring, fork spring is fine for 70 kg rider !

Yes these bikes make an excellent lightweight adventure bike and is a proven package with so many dirt bike hire companies. Again the bike is ideal for a lighter weight rider UP TO 70kg but if your adding a big tank, pannier racks or carrying some gear DO NOT KID YOURSELF YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE SPRINGS.

.44 is standard and will suit rider and gear up to aprox 70kg ( yep that’s me )

.46 ideal for a rider and gear aprox 70 to 90kg.

.48 ideal for a rider and gear aprox 80 to 100kg

.50 ideal for a rider and gear aprox 90 to 115kg

.52 for the really big boys or carrying excessive weights of 115 plus

NOTE – spring sizing is generally worked off riders weight plus ten kg to cover riding gear, small back pack etc, do not add all your additional gear UNLESS bike stays in the same format all the time !

NOTE – at 70kg I get away with one size up in the rear ( yes the rear spring is too soft ) I go to a 5.5 but I do get away with original fork springs. If you are heavier than me no you can’t just do one end and not the other you need to change fork and shock springs. Pretty easy to fix this bike at not much more than $400.

NOTE – generic fork spring image used, additional image supplied by Eibach of front and rear springs, we stock Eibach springs for the DRZ.

NOTE – due to the world crisis and lack of product available couple weight springs are by Q Spring ( White Power ) and like Eibach are of the highest standard.
